Alamo California, April 22, 2013 by Joe Combs
Looking for a plan to spend some ear marked road improvement dollars, the county is taking input and feed back from local residents.
County Public Works staff and the office of District 2 Supervisor Candace Andersen will host a second community forum on April 23 to receive input on future roadway improvements. Officials will review the results of a recent traffic pattern and systems study as well as forecasts for the future.
An AOB is a traffic mitigation fee program designed to improve the capacity and safety of the road network within an area. Money collected from developers within an AOB is used to fund road improvement projects that mitigate traffic impacts generated by new development projects. There is currently just over $2 million in fees Alamo could use.
