Alamo Chamber of Commerce Selects Joe Combs, The Combs Team, As Annual Business Person of the Year
(Alamo, CA ) Remax Realtor, Joe Combs, The Combs Team, was awarded the Alamo Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year Award during the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Andrew Young Memorial Park in Alamo, Sunday evening December 7. Presiding over the Award presentation were Mark Curtis, Mark Curtis Communications, and Alamo Chamber of Commerce Board Secretary and Stone Valley Shopping Center owner, John Lineweaver.
According to Rich Wood, Epaynow.com, and Alamo Chamber of Commerce President, “Joe Combs was selected from among 9 nominees for this prestigious award. His contribution to the Alamo Chamber and the Alamocommunity over the years has been exemplary. Joe Combs has been the driving force behind our annual scholarship raffle, and is a past President and Membership Chair of our organization.
In addition to his contribution to the ACC, Joe Combs currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the San Ramon Valley YMCA and has been instrumental in raising the $3.1 million required to build the New YMCA onLewis Lane in Alamo. Beyond his efforts on behalf of the YMCA, Combs has been highly involved with the Danville Chamber of Commerce, where he has served as a board member for the past 5 years. He actively serves on the Golf Tournament, Business Showcase and Marketing Committees.
Most recently Combs represented the Danville Chamber to the Town of Danville on the “Shop Local” Campaign Committee. Joe Combs is the 2009 Chair Elect for the Danville Chamber of Commerce and will serve as Chairman of the Board in 2010”, Wood continued.
Joe Combs and his wife Nancy Combs manage a successful Alamo Real Estate and Danville Real Estate practice in the Area and are members of the Remax Platinum Club, which places them in the top ½ % of Remax Agents world wide.”
The Alamo Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit business organization devoted to the improving the business environment and community of Alamo. Other activities sponsored by ACC are the annual Alamo Tree Lighting Ceremony, the Music and Wine Festival and the High School Scholarship Program.
